Poster and ad campaign for Opal Divine’s “Gatsby Affair” Drink Pink Ball and the BCRC. Project included digitally printed posters and coordinating ad campaign to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Centers of Texas. The BCRC offers a helpline to provide immediate support, weekly orientations to clarify diagnosis and treatment options and provide information about available resources, and physical recovery information.

Poster Design: Miss Universe Reunion Show

This poster design was a collaboration with illustrator and good friend, Adrian Bogart under the art direction of Josh (Miss Universe drummer!) with the typographical stylings of Ally. We all love the results and can’t wait for the show, which will also feature a re-formed Gomez, a great band also from the 90s Austin music scene! All proceeds will be donated to the the Paul Kirby Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance to help Aids Services of Austin clients in need. Extra special thanks to Affordable Sound for donating a portion of the printing costs.

Poster Design: 2011 aGLIFF Red Carpet Gala

aGLIFF, the Austin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, worked with Alyson Design to create a professional event theme for their second annual Gala and live telecast of the Oscars®. For the red carpet theme, we chose to work with an image of the fabulous and timeless actress, Louise Brooks. Why Louise Brooks? We love that her striking look – dark bob and strong brow – is backed up by her powerful personality. She was a survivor, she traveled to Germany in search of better roles; she was a strong, independent woman who was not afraid of being herself. And who can deny the power of a woman who was linked to both Charlie Chaplin and Greta Garbo!

Custom WordPress Theme: Pride Build 4

We are proud of the relationship we have established with Austin Habitat for Humanity. Since beginning work with them in 2008, we have developed numerous print and web campaigns including appeal letters, newsletters, and online giving campaign projects promoting their home builds throughout the year.

This Pride Build WordPress theme served the purpose of keeping volunteers and fans updated on all the happenings related to this one month house construction project. For this project, we customized a 3rd party WordPress theme for Pride Build, and we have also used a similar concept on several of their builds throughout the year, including the Austin Legal Build and Home for the Holidays. This format is easy for administrators to update and utilizes all the social media connections to help volunteers and fans stay on top of the construction progress and related events.

Alyson Design is proud to have assisted Austin non-profit Westminster Manor with their recent website redesign project. We helped the Westminster team realize their vision by translating their cohesive brand into a dynamic xhtml/CSS driven website. Website features include secure online job application and information request forms, an online calendar showcasing upcoming events, and elegant and easy to use PDF page turning displays. Retirement living has never looked better.

Custom WordPress Theme: West Austin Neighborhood Group

Alyson Design created a custom WordPress theme for the West Austin Neighborhood Group (WANG), a non-profit organization of residents with the shared goal of preserving West Austin and protecting it from deterioration. Project included logo revision, events calendar customization, a random banner generator and PayPal member subscription manager.

Logo Design: Austin Cycling Association

Non-profit cycling advocacy group chose us to assist them in their re-branding project that included a logo update and new website design. The logo design to the left uses the strong elements from the previous versions of their brand, but gives them a fresh and easy to read look… especially when it’s zooming past you on the back of a cycling jersey!

Victory Houston, a branch of the American Cancer Society, is a special group of outstanding women dedicated to raising funds to help in the fight against cancer. Since their inception in 1987, they have raised over $22,000,000 to fund cancer research, education, and patient services in the Houston area. Alyson Design is proud to be a part of the group’s mission by helping raise awareness online via the new website.
