Quite often less is more, and this web design for The Muskin Company puts that theory into practice by placing this long established Austin home builder’s work front and center. This project gave the company a clean, easy to navigate space to feature their amazing custom home and remodeling work, all of which is easily updatable using the WordPress content management system. Along with the site, we created a fresh logo design, matching yard signage, and integrated our SEO Starter Kit to help push the company’s organic search presence to a much higher level.

Custom WordPress Theme: GUGU by Retrocuffs

Alyson Design helped Retrocuffs make the leap into the world of ecommerce by creating a fully custom WordPress theme with built-in catalog and shopping cart functions. The client needed a site that was easy to navigate and would showcase her unique combination of eco-friendly leather cuffs and antique buttons, and would also give her the ability to quickly update her inventory at home or at a show. We also wanted to keep costs at a modest level compared to many ecommerce websites we’ve built by using the Instinct WordPress plugin; we believe the resulting website met all of those goals without sacrificing quality.

Included in this project was a branding package with logo design and merchandising materials, and our Organic SEO Starter Kit was applied to give the site a big push in natural online search. Go GUGU, go WordPress!

Custom WordPress Theme: Photography by Vanessa

Vanessa Escobedo is an amazing and talented Austin wedding and portrait photographer. In her blog redesign project, we revamped her logo to give it a clean, crisp, modern look and moved her over to a blog powered by WordPress. We created a custom blog theme that was wide enough to accommodate larger images, moved the navigation to the top and the sidebar to the footer of the site. Now she has a place to display her vibrant images on a large scale! Her blog has a fading Flash header in which she can insert and remove images herself, in fact, she has total control over the text and images on the entire blog.

Custom WordPress Theme: Jack Kill & Stickman

Alyson Design teamed up with illustrator Douglas Brown to create a new online presence for Austin, TX band Jack Kill & Stickman. Keeping within the constraints of a working band’s budget (Josh has definitely been there himself!), and knowing that the ability to update the website themselves was a main priority, we customized a WordPress theme to complete the job. The site allows the band to easily manage the site, as well as update news, upcoming shows and photos from home or on the road.

The Marye Company website redesign reflects the Mid-Century Modern style that this Realtor specializes in. Unique features of this project include a complete Learn more here > ', '', '');" onmouseout="domTip_clearTip('false')">CMS system allowing the administrator to edit all of the listings, agent pages, text and images on the site. The web application is built on an ASP.NET platform for added security and includes integration with MLS provider, Google mapping technology and blog. The site launch also integrated our Organic SEO Starter Kit to maximize their position in organic search engine results.

The Diane Tubb Art website features a complete online portfolio of Diane’s watercolor and acrylic paintings, integrated PayPal shopping cart and Flash component. This design turned out to be a pretty accurate extension of Diane’s artwork, talent and personality!
