STEP
4: WEBSITE REFINEMENT
Refinement is the final inspection of the website before it
is ready to hit the open road. The colors and text should
be consistent from page to page and all of the links should
be tested again. At this point the developer should publish
(post on the internet) the site in a non-public area for the
client to “test drive.” The prototype website
should be viewed on several different computers including
those with smaller monitors, such as a laptop. What the user
sees will vary from computer to computer, but the general
look and feel should remain consistent throughout the site.
All final modifications are made at the refinement stage before
advancing to the implementation level. |
