STEP
3: PRODUCTION OF FUNCTION
During production, the composite design is converted into
a fully functional website. With the help of special software
and technical knowledge the ideas and models considered in
the previous phases are transformed into web pages that test
those ideas. Production requires that all content including
text, images, audio and unique navigational elements are assembled
and laid out in their appropriate places within the structure
of the website. Small adjustments are made to make the site
function smoothly & professionally, including the testing
of all links, editing copy, and optimizing images (decreasing
resolution or adjusting dimensions to reduce file size) for
faster downloading. Once the website functions as a whole
vehicle and all elements are in place, it is ready for refinement. |
